Colorado Eats

My vacation is over and now I wait patiently for the cruise to Alaska late Spring of 2011. But…I did want to share some of the foodie enjoyments I had while in Colorado. Definitely everyone should go to either Boulder or Denver if you are a foodie. Can’t miss!
I went to these places: old chicago pizze and pasta in Superior, Steaming Bean (coffee shop in Silverthorne), Wendy’s (because I wanted good cheap chili), Butterhorn Bakery and Cafe in Frisco, JJ’s Chinese Buffet in Silverthorne, Snooze in Denver, Salvaggio’s Deli in Boulder, Starbucks in Boulder, Tee and Cakes in Boulder, and The Truffle in Denver, and TCBY in the DEN airport.

A short review:
Best sandwich. Ever. at Salvaggios. Slow roasted prime rib – absolutely amazing.
Old Chicago: good veggie pizza and pepperoni rolls. Too dark of a restaurant (not great lighting).
Not the best cupcake I’d ever eaten, but decent maple cream cheese frosting. In-house roasted pumpkin though and that is a good, fresh thing in Boulder. Cupcakes and skulls don’t really go together to me though.
Snooze has an amazing gluten-free panckae and very filling.
I wish I had The Truffle in Raleigh – great cheese, nice folks, and such a fabulous little place
Must return for my eats in Denver with my foodie friend.
